Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in the year 2011, and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia has started her career as a professional at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. The WMC World Championships were also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. Her next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used superior striking and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. She then was unable to win her next fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina returned to the ring after losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
